Oil seal types
- Type A – single lip, without dust lip, for less demanding conditions
- Type B – single lip with dust lip, the standard type for tractors
- Types AS and BS – reinforced design with steel spring, for higher speeds and pressures
- Types C and CS – double lip, for harsh operating conditions – sealing oil and dust at the same time
How to choose the right oil seal
An oil seal is selected by three dimensions: inner diameter (d or Fw), outer diameter (D) and width (B or H). All three are printed on the original seal or listed in the machine service book. Use the filter on this page to find the exact size.

How do I find the right oil seal by dimensions?
Measure or read three dimensions from the original seal: inner diameter (d), outer diameter (D) and width (B). Enter them in the filter on this page and all matching items will be shown. The dimensions are always printed on the side of the seal, e.g. 55x80x10.
What is the difference between oil seal types A, B, AS, BS, C and CS?
Types A and B are standard single-lip seals – type B also has a dust lip that protects against dirt. AS and BS are reinforced versions with a steel spring for higher speeds. Types C and CS have a double lip and seal both oil and dust at the same time, ideal for harsh harvesting conditions.
Do DALMIK oil seals replace original Claas, John Deere and Deutz Fahr seals?
Yes – oil seals are selected by dimensions only, not by brand. A DALMIK 55x80x10 AS seal fits every machine that uses a seal of that size, regardless of the manufacturer. You can find the original seal size on the part itself or in the service book.
When should an oil seal on a combine or tractor be replaced?
Replace the oil seal when oil leaks around the shaft, when bearings wear faster due to dirt getting in, or when the lip is visibly damaged. Preventive replacement at the annual service is recommended for critical points such as the crankshaft and transmission.
